Power Up for School

Join us at Gulf Coast Town Center on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for an exciting evening of family fun as we celebrate the start of a new school year.

This free community event will feature live entertainment, interactive games and activities, photo opportunities, giveaways, and special promotions from participating Gulf Coast Town Center businesses.

Don't miss our Superhero & Real Hero Costume Contest. Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero or real-life hero, such as a police officer, firefighter, teacher, military member, healthcare worker, or other community hero. Prizes will be awarded to select participants.

Families will also have the opportunity to explore the Children's Entrepreneur Market featuring more than 50 kid-led businesses showcasing their products, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Additional event highlights include appearances from local community partners and first responders, family-friendly activities throughout the center, and a special Teacher Appreciation Recognition. Community members will have the opportunity to nominate an outstanding local teacher for a chance to receive a $250 prize, with the winner being recognized during the event. Whether you're preparing for the school year ahead, supporting local young entrepreneurs, or simply looking for a fun family outing, Power Up for School is the perfect way to wrap up summer and get excited for the year ahead.
